Stranded cars block the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive Wednesday evening after a blizzard hit Chicago late Tuesday afternoon. More than twenty inches of snow combined fell in Chicago with 50-60 mph wind gusts in a blizzard that lasted from 3pm Tuesday to approximately noon Wednesday. Chicago Public Schools and most businesses were closed.
